The tie that binds

Though separated by over 450 days and 102 miles, the last fish of mine for 2013 and the first trout to hand of 2015 are linked.  Yet, no fish in between shares commonality.  Finally, I broke the streamer drought.  In a fortunate move, I dropped Whitey into the head of a pool at a slight downstream angle on the Type VI, let the line belly just a tad, and turned him broadside at just the right moment, and just the right depth. (Read: Or, the water is freezing and I just got plain lucky).

Really, it's too cold right now for the streamer bite to be the method of choice, but I can't convince myself to tie on a double nymph rig right now.  This experience won't help.

    1. Thanks, Mike! When this fish re-discovers caddis pupa and puts on two inches and another half pound this Spring, he'll be a beast!
